There are countless photo effects you can use with digital scrapbooking.  Look closely and you'll see the title letters look like they have been laser cut so you can see the photo through it.  Layout by Kelly Barrow.

Can't think of anything to write on your layout?  Find a good poem to type up or if you're lazy like me, use a poem sticker.

To get the "lace" edge, just trim the edges with scalloped scissors and with a hole punching tool, punch holes in the center of each scallop.  Fancy, shmancy!

I had so many pictures of these two and I loved every single one of them.  Instead of making a 4-5 page layout, I cropped the pictures so I could focus on their adorable facial expressions and lined them up "film strip" style.  With a slide paper cutter, it's so easy to crop pictures down to the same size.

Make a statement with a large photo.  Just load your digital pictures to a photo sharing site and choose to enlarge it 8 x 10".  It will cost a bit more to print, but your layout will be adored forever!

Even the simplest of milestones can make cute layouts.  Here, William is attempting to climb out of his chair for the first time.  I had to take like 20 pictures to get these few to scrapbook.  Thank goodness for digital cameras!

I used vellum letter stickers that were slightly transparent so when I overlapped the stickers, they would show through the previous one.  Look for them in the sticker aisle of your local scrapbook or craft store.

This is one of my favorite layouts yet. I used the old decorating tip for mixing and matching fabrics, "One large print, one small print, and one striped print." Designing layouts is very similar. Try this! Use a stapler to adhere strips of paper, ribbon, or anything. So easy!

Newborn
Is there anything more pure and precious than a newborn baby? I made a page that reflects that with all white and soft gray paper patterns and clear vellum. Try this! If you have a floral pattern, put jewels, eyelets, or brads in the centers for an extra special touch.

William and Grandma
I had a little "scrappers block" so I put together this super simple layout. I had three matching papers. I tore the top off from one (save the rest for later!), and freehand cut a swooping wave on the second one and glued them to the third paper leaving enough room between the first two to show the background. Then I matted the photos with the first paper and added some embellishment and phrases. Voila! Another layout done in record time! Try this! I stole this idea from a magazine but I loved it. Get out your old circle punch and cut out circles and fray the edges with scissors to make a clever flower. Thread some ribbon and tape it to the back to make the leaves. Don't forget to embellish the centers!

Use materials other than paper for your layout to add interest and texture.  I used an organza drawstring bag as well as organza ribbon for the photo corners and embellishments.  The bag acts as a little pocket for more keepsakes.
