Torn Page Look

A very popular and extremely easy way to add a little texture to your layout. You'll need the following:

  • Paper, anything thin enough to tear with your fingers (cardstock, basic paper, vellum etc.).
  • Fingers (actually just thumbs and forefingers will do).
  1. Take your paper and grip it at the top with your thumb and forefingers touching from both hands.
  2. Gently tear with one hand coming toward you and the other going the opposite direction. A quality paper will tear easily and in a straight line. Mulbery or vellum are difficult because they tear easily in only one direction.
  3. You have two ripped edges. You can use the one with white fibers showing or the other one. Either way, they will add a little texture and natural line to your layout.
