Make a Pocket
If you find that you have just too many little photos or memorabilia to get on one layout with out it looking cluttery, try a pocket. It's simple and you can put just about anything in it. It will give your layout a "surprise inside!" feel to it. You'll need:
- Your layout background paper (cardstock works the best)
- Another sheet of cardstock trimmed smaller. Make it the size you want your pocket to be.
- Strong adhesive (not removeable or a glue stick)
- Take your smaller sheet of cardstock and along the side and bottom edges apply the adhesive.
- Carefully, line up your cardstock with the bottom of your background paper and press down to fix it into place.
Now you can put little treasures inside! Try decorating the pocket or making different shapes and sizes. If you are handy with a sewing machine you can sew the pocket right on to your layout instead of using adhesive Staples work well too.
